Manufacturing Procedure

The process for designing a ‘flip chip interconnected unit’ is straightforward and involves simple steps. Fluxing – A special electrical grade cleaner fluid for cleaning the semiconductor chipboard and the circuit board. This removes any dust or imperfect elements from the boards. Soldering – Solder-bumps place in the LED semiconductor chip. Die Placement – To make sure each element is fitted over the top of the other, the soldered chip is flipped over and placed over the circuit board precisely. Reflow (Heating) – They require this step to loosen up the solder balls via heat so that they can stick to the circuit board fully. Fluxing and Underfilling – The unit should be clean before underfilling the spaces with non-conducting electrical adhesives. Adhesives help to seal the spaces, disregarding any chances of displacement of solder balls.
